Reach Out

“And you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” -Acts  1:8

In Jerusalem (reaching out locally)

The most foundational component to our unique world piece is to reach out to our neighbors, family and friends. As we grow, we’ll continue to expand our ministries to kids, teens, families and individuals of all ages.

At ECC, we do our best to not only address spiritual and emotional needs, but physical needs as well (you may be surprised to learn that, for the first time in U.S. history, more poor people live in our suburbs than in our cities).

From day one, we’ve been collecting food for our area food shelf and not long ago one of our members launched a “freezer meal” ministry to provide support and encouragement when there’s a new birth, job loss, hospitalization or death in the family.

We’re also in the process of entering into a partnership with an organization called Love INC whose mission is to link churches across denominational lines to help those in need right here in Ramsey County.

In Judea and Samaria (reaching out regionally)

We believe we can do more together than any of us can alone.

In partnership with other organizations, we’ve served meals to the homeless, helped construct affordable housing for those in need and put hands and feet to our verbal witness in numerous practical ways.

Through our affiliation with the Evangelical Covenant family of churches, we’ve helped new churches during their start-up phases and partnered with established congregations for clothing, toy and back-to-school drives.

To the ends of the earth (reaching out nationally and internationally)

Our expanding global network of close relationships uniquely positions us to make an international impact.

Working together, our Covenant family plants an average of two new churches per week.  As a denomination, we are also on the leading edge of racial reconciliation, micro-enterprise and the fight against modern slavery.

Through Covenant World Mission, we support more than one hundred and forty seven missionaries who are sharing the Good News in twenty-seven countries around the globe.

In partnership with Covenant World Relief, we provide humanitarian aid in the midst of crisis and work with communities to provide transformational development through micro-finance, sustainable water development, community health initiatives and sustainable food programs.

Emmanuel Children’s Home in Juarez, Mexico serves as an oasis of hope in one of the world’s most dangerous cities. Through support from partners like us, the Home provides Christian discipleship, education, food, clothing and lots of love to the hundreds of kids under their care.

As we have from the start, we will continue to not only financially support the ministry of our mission friends, but continue to actively seek our role when it comes to personal, hands-on involvement.
